List of corruption crimes
For the first time, the list of corruption crimes was normatively established in the joint resolution of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus dated 05.04.2007 N 17/94/11 and included 14 crimes. Subsequently, this list was revised and replaced by a new one, approved by the resolution of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus, the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Operational and Analytical Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus dated 31.01.2011 N 5/8/1/34/6, which already classified 10 crimes as corruption crimes. Almost three years later, by the Resolution of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus, the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Operational and Analytical Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus dated 27.12.2013 N 43/9/95/571/57/274, the previous list of corruption crimes was approved, but with a new procedure for its formation.
This list includes the following crimes provided for by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus:
theft through abuse of official authority (Article 210);
legalization ("laundering") of material assets acquired by criminal means, committed by an official using his official powers (Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 235);
abuse of power or official powers out of selfish or other personal interest (Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 424);
inaction of an official out of selfish or other personal interest (Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 425);
abuse of power or official authority committed out of selfish or other personal interest (Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 426);
illegal participation in entrepreneurial activity (Article 429);
receiving a bribe (Article 430);
giving a bribe (Article 431);
mediation in bribery (Article 432);
abuse of power, abuse of power or inaction of power committed out of selfish or other personal interest (Part 1 of Article 455).
