From October 4 to October 6, 2023, the XLV session of the Interstate Council on Geodesy, Cartography, Cadastre and Remote Sensing of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is being held in Vitebsk.

At this session, representatives of the services will hear reports on activities in the field of geodesy, cartography, cadastre and remote sensing of the Earth during the intersessional period. The results of the work of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) as the basic organization of the CIS member states for training personnel in these areas, as well as the work of the public law company Roskadastr as the basic scientific and technical organization of the CIS member states will also be considered. in the field of geodesy, cartography, cadastre, spatial data and geographic information technologies.

Also at the session there will be meetings of working groups on various areas of activity of the Interstate Council. The agenda of the session will include approval of the updated Action Plan (road map) for the implementation of the Concept of creating a geoportal for the spatial data infrastructure of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
