On April 1, on the basis of the state enterprise "BelPSKHAGI", an extended field session of the Standing Commission on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus was held. The event was attended by parliamentarians, representatives of ministries, other state bodies and organizations, local authorities.

Before the beginning of the meeting, the participants were presented with the main types of products and works of organizations subordinated to the State Committee for Property of the Republic of Belarus (State Property Committee) and the directions of activities of the state enterprise "BelPSKHAGI".

Talking to journalists, Chairman of the State Property Committee Dmitry Matusevich noted that the State Property Committee had prepared a new version of the law on geodesy and cartography, which will be sent to parliament this year.

“With regard to innovations, it is planned in the law to form a legal basis in order to unite all land, construction and other spatial resources. In other words, do not redo the databases every time, but simply make a hub that would collect all the necessary data for a specific, specific user. Something from the system of our committee can be taken, something from the system of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, the Ministry of Forestry - each department will have its own set, for certain purposes, ”the Chairman explained.

Opening the extended meeting, Chairman of the Commission on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Mikhail Rusy noted the importance of holding such events: “Deputies and senators should really understand how laws are prepared. In addition, they are all practitioners, so they will be able to point out special points that need to be taken into account, and then the law will be what is needed first of all by citizens and the country".

During the meeting, the speakers touched upon the issues of the main provisions of the national spatial data infrastructure and the prototype of the geoportal; new approaches to working with dilapidated and empty houses, taking into account the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus "On the alienation of residential buildings in rural areas and the improvement of work with empty houses".

At the end of the event, Dmitry Matusevich presented Mikhail Rusy with a badge of distinction of the State Committee for Property of the Republic of Belarus "For a good-minded pratsu at the system dzyarzhmayemastsi".
