President Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 375, which proclaims 2024 the Year of Quality. This decision was made with the aim of promoting the quality of life of the Belarusian people, ensuring the country’s competitiveness on the world stage, as well as encouraging initiative, developing a sense of responsibility for the results of one’s work and participation in the future of the country.

The Year of Quality will focus on increasing the country's competitiveness through careful and conscious use of resources, implementation of high-tech and energy-efficient projects, and prioritizing quality over quantity. Efforts will be aimed at ensuring quality results by encouraging initiative, introducing innovative ideas, strengthening optimism in society and the desire for joint development. Particular attention will be paid to the formation of personal responsibility among citizens for improving the quality of life, including an adequate level of income, regular medical examinations, healthy nutrition, high quality education and cultural leisure.
