A session of the Republican Council on Historical Policy at the Administration of the President of Belarus was held in Minsk under the leadership of the Head of the Administration of the President Igor Sergeenko. The preparation of the updated National Atlas of Belarus was discussed as part of the event. The previous edition of the atlas was released more than 20 years ago, and the new edition is expected to be completed by the middle of 2024. Work on updating the atlas has already begun, and it will contain 344 pages, 19 sections and 704 maps. A feature of the new atlas will be its increased volume and changed structure, where the "History" section will be the beginning, unlike the previous edition. The development of informational texts for the sections of the atlas and their translation into Belarusian is already in progress, and it is also planned to create an electronic version of the publication.
