The National Cadastral Agency is completing the development of a new layer of the public cadastral map called “Districts for the election of deputies of the House of Representatives of the eighth convocation.” The boundaries of electoral districts will be clearly displayed based on information provided by the Central Election Commission. At a meeting of the Central Election Commission, Chairman Igor Karpenko emphasized that the formation of electoral districts for the election of deputies to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus is the next stage of preparation for the 2024 election campaign, which must be completed no later than October 1 of this year. According to Article 91 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, the House of Representatives consists of 110 deputies. In accordance with Articles 15-16 of the Electoral Code, the Central Election Commission forms 110 electoral districts based on proposals from the regional and Minsk city executive committees to conduct elections of deputies of the House of Representatives on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. Electoral districts are formed with approximately equal numbers of voters. The number of constituencies in each region remained unchanged compared to the previous election campaign. The resolution contains a detailed description of the boundaries of each district, as well as their name, numbers, number of voters and location of district election commissions.
