A delegation of the State Property Committee led by Chairman Dmitry Matusevich took part in a meeting of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and Udmurtia. During the meeting, issues of the current state of cooperation and prospects for further interaction in various fields such as industry, agriculture, tourism and culture were discussed.
According to Dmitry Matusevich’s statement after the meeting, the export of Belarusian goods to Udmurtia has been increasing for the fourth year in a row, while this year it has grown by 10% compared to last year. As part of the cooperation, a contract was concluded for the supply of new cars from the Mogilev Carriage Plant, and issues of supply of medical equipment were also discussed.
Dmitry Matusevich also noted that the possibility of organizing a direct flight from Minsk to Izhevsk was discussed, which would contribute to the development of mutual tourism, as well as the possibility of participation of Belarusian road builders in projects implemented by the Government of Udmurtia. He expressed hope that, based on the successful experience of road construction in Tatarstan, such cooperation will become a reality in the future.
On the other hand, the Chairman of the Government of the Udmurt Republic Yaroslav Semenov emphasized the growing number of exporting companies from Udmurtia to Belarus, explaining that the volume of imports of products from Belarus has increased by almost one and a half times. He noted the interest in Belarusian products in various fields, such as electrical equipment, agriculture and technological facilities.
At the meeting, several cooperation agreements were signed, including an agreement between the Brest Regional Executive Committee and the Government of the Udmurt Republic, which provides for various types of cooperation, such as trade and economic, scientific and technical, environmental and cultural cooperation.
An agreement was also signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Udmurt Republic and the Minsk Tractor Plant of the Republic of Belarus on the supply of agricultural machinery.
