30.01.2024 Беларусь готовится к выборам: финальный этап регистрации кандидатов и формирование избирательных комиссий

Today, January 30, marks the final stage of registration of parliamentary candidates at all levels, leading to participation in a single voting day scheduled for February 25. In the next two days, registered candidates will be issued with appropriate certificates confirming their participation in the upcoming elections. Public interest and anticipation of the elections is steadily growing, and tomorrow, January 31, the pre-election campaign starts.

The Central Election Commission reported that to conduct elections of deputies on a single voting day in Belarus, 5,411 precinct election commissions were formed, which included 57,233 people. This composition includes representatives of labor collectives, civil society and political parties, demonstrating broad public participation and transparency of the election process.

It is important to note that representatives of various political parties joined the precinct election commissions, including the Belarusian Party "White Rus'", the Communist Party of Belarus, the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus and the Republican Party of Labor and Justice. Also, public associations are actively involved in this process, as evidenced by the participation of representatives of the ROO "Belaya Rus", the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, the Belarusian Women's Union, the Belarusian Peace Foundation, the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans, trade unions and other organizations.

Territorial and district election commissions have already accredited 4,439 national observers. In addition, 73 international observers are accredited by the Central Election Commission, which underscores the importance and desire to ensure comprehensive and unbiased monitoring of the election process.
