The Faculty of Geography and Geoinformatics of the Belarusian State University hosted the International Scientific and Practical Seminar for Students and Young Scientists "GIS Technologies in Earth Sciences-2024", dedicated to the International GIS Day. The event brought together young scientists from different countries who presented their work in the field of geographic information systems and remote sensing of the Earth.

Specialist of the State Enterprise "BelPSHAGI" Maxim Aleksandrovich Gutsaki presented a report on the topic "Innovative Technologies of Remote Sensing of the Earth: Application Practice". In addition to delivering a plenary report, Maxim Aleksandrovich took an active part in the seminar as a member of the jury of sectional sessions.

The seminar became a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing current problems and prospects for the development of GIS technologies in various scientific fields, contributing to the improvement of the qualifications of specialists and stimulating new scientific research.
